Introduction

In this mini-course, you will learn all about writing a perfect introduction for your thesis or research paper.

Before we start, I just need to explain the concept of what I call a chunk.

Research papers and theses look quite different—one is super short and concise, maybe like 4,000 words including references, and the other may well be more than 120 of pages plus a 100 pages more in the appendix.

So in order to deal with these differences, let me explain my idea of chunks.
